Graham Chapman, the original founder commenced the accounting practice in his home town of Henderson in 1976.
The practice merged with the international practice of Deloittes. However after two years, it was found that the needs of the practice’s local client base would be best serviced by a more personalised approach, so the practice was structured accordingly.
In 1999 the practice relocated to Westgate, which lifted its profile and provided further expansion opportunities.
Currently the shareholders and directors are Graham Chapman, Karl Dickins, Nigel Curteis and Jarrod Walton.

Chapmans Chartered Accountants Limited provides a wide range of accounting and advisory services. Although the practice is one of the largest in West Auckland, we pride ourselves on providing a personalised and professional service to our clients.
The firm specialises in providing tailored accounting services to small to medium sized businesses and rental property structuring and accounting.
In addition, a specialisation has been developed in relation to franchise accounting. Chapmans acts for approximately 30% of the independently owned McDonald's restaurants in New Zealand as well as Subway, Club Physical, Burger Fuel and Columbus franchisees.
The practice specialises in the provision of packaged accounting services and business development assistance to its clients. In particular, Chapmans are Xero partners and MYOB specialists.
